Purpose
This move is done to free the leg and hip up that the opponent has the leg in on.
Execution
The bottom of the foot that the opponent has the leg on kicks upward towards the ceiling straitening the leg as this is done. The opponents leg flops off the leg and hip when this is done correctly. As one brings the leg back down to the mat be sure to take actions to block that opponents leg from coming back in on you. Such as keeping your elbow tight to your hip to catch the leg and dig out on it.

Not done with proper amount of force
Leg not extended strait up towards the ceiling.
Failure to catch the OPPONENTS leg coming back in when attempted.
